For the past several years, Pilgrim has sponsored a Vacation Bible School (VBS) during the summer.  VBS is about enriching our children's spiritual lives by helping them explore Scripture in a fun and kid-friendly way.  While the exploration is fun, the themes are important and formative.  VBS 2009, Crocodile Dock, explored the following themes, each on a different day:

• Day 1:  “God is with us” -- based on Moses and the burning bush
• Day 2:  “God is powerful” --  taken from the God’s judgment plagues upon the Egyptians
• Day 3:  “God does what he says he’ll do” --  based on the first Passover
• Day 4:  “God gives new life” -- recounts the death and resurrection of Jesus
• Day 5:  “God cares for us” --  based on the miraculous crossing of the Red Sea
